About the Author

Blessings to all! Betty Jean Funny-Vereen was born on Christmas Day as the fifth child out of eleven siblings. She was raised in a small town called Plantersville located in Georgetown, South Carolina. She has four beautiful children and ten amazing grandchildren. She received an Associates in Early Childhood and an Associates of Arts while working full-time and going to school part-time. Out of 7 long years of college, she has never missed a single day. While she retired after being a teacher's aide for 27 years, her love and passion for teaching continues to shine as a light to her family and friends. Along with writing, Ms. Vereen is also a minister and enjoys teaching others about Christ.
