Poetry is a gift that comes from the heart. This book is a collection of my thoughts and feelings regarding love. Several of the poems in this anthology were written during my college years while I was still developing my perceptions and concepts about love, feelings or emotions. To be young and experience what may be a first encounter of love (Eros) is something that only happens once. I recalled being young, and I fell in love. During this period of my life, I wrote the poem titled Love or Sin. I also remember being told by a friend about someone he admired but never had the opportunity to share his feelings with the one whom he cared about so deeply. During this conversation, I wrote a poem titled First In Line. In life, sometimes we do not return the same way we left. When I was a junior in college, thoughts of such pondered my mind. Certain poems were written based on my experiences. Other poems were written based on the experiences of those whom I knew or had been acquainted. During my collegiate years, I collected poems that are included in this anthology. I hope you enjoy reading Breath Heart A Collection of Poems.
